Hi I'm a new member to your forum. I just purchased a 2007 R320 CDI manufactured in the US and it's loaded. I have a question for those of you that know something about the voice activated navigation systems. Radio, CD and IPOD My R320 has the hands free phone, the voice button in the steering column, Navigation system, 6 disc CD changer and the IPOD cable in the glove box. The invoice state that it has the PO3 package. when I purchased the R320 I thought it had the voice activated system that allowed me to control all systems with the voice control button. I'm now told that all models come with that button but I don't have the voice activation system. So with all that being said, how do I get this system installed? is there an after market system? were do I find it? how much does it cost? I hope some one can help me.

 

I have the same thing on my 08 R320 with the voice command buttons. My original steering wheel did not have the buttons and when the wood grain wheel was installed, the buttons were there.

The dealership said the same wheel is used on different cars with that option and the R does not have it yet. I don't think you can have it installed either.

This is something I expect from lesser car companies - buttons that are there but don't do anything.

I just took delivery of a 2010 R350 BlueTEC. It has the voice system and it works really really well. Before buying it, I looked at a LOT of 2007's and 2008's and I don't think *any* of them had it installed.
