i did make a serach i coulndt find on forum what to check on car while i m buying car in 2 days still didnt check the car really. just trust mb dealer. warranty is up to 100k for both.

is 2006 r 350 are have specfici problem??

Agree. AMG body kit looks so much better. The non-AMG front bumper w/out fog lights does not look good in my opinion.

 

I agree with the others, I was sold on an '08+ after seeing the pre-facelifted model side by side. I don't care for those silver triangle shapes where the fog lights normally go. Just me though, the AMG bodywork makes the vehicle look a lot more sporty and less appliance like.

 

But 06 is about 24 08 is 34 there is much differances for me . I m gonna pay it cash 06 sound better to me.

I don't think it is a good deal for a non-loaded R with that many miles (64k) for $24K. It probably comes only with 1 year warranty too.

Why just keep looking and wait for the right one come along?

 

Both seem to high to me, guess it depands on your local market. Check the internet. You can buy CPO at any MB dealer( which I highly recommend ). Might find the perfect one for several thousand less.

I did send a message to this guy 22k plus tax on me he said okay .. Down is 14.5K (minumum credit amıunt is 7.5k) they said there is no credit for livery use.. Okay last friday i go there with 22k cash this time a lady sales Rep said 22.5 plus tax cash..:S
Last time saturday i call this guy and again 22 is okay. I think this guys when they understand you are buyıng they adding money to car this is ridiculous.

2 I live in new york and this dealer dont give in transit plate (a paper stick to back side of car) but i did ask to 6 differant people who bought their car from Ct all same pay the price of car got your temp plate (paper one) come to new york and register your car.

I dont know why this guys says no to this.
What they says is pay the car live car here got your paper go to new york register your car take your plate come back and got your car:S Plus every time you visit them price go up

if you are buying out of state but registering it in NY, you do not pay sales tax in the state where you are buying it. when you go to register the car in NY, you will then pay the sales tax in NY....

 

But the dealer says you got the pay the car and live it here in dealer then got new york pay the tax register the car (Tlc TaxiLimocomission of New York take long time to register ) get your plate then come back and pick up the car.. Is that right .. If its right how people gona trust the dealers and the car you just bought live at the dealer for a week.

 

that is correct; although most people just pay for it, put a plate on the car and drive it home as long as you have insurance on it. not particularly legal but as long as it is insured you may want to chance it. not giving you any legal advice, just telling you what most people seem to do because NY does not have either temporary plates or transit tags...

 

Awwwwwww So i need to pay come back do all the paper works get the plate go bak and pick up car.:S:S:s But this time they dmv of nys gona ask for inspeciton (I need for Tlc) How i m gona inspect it. Without inspection i cant get the plate..

any dealer has to inspect it before they sell it and you do not need an inspection to register it in ny. ny dmv will give you a temp inspection when you register it. the temp is good for 30 days...

You don't have to go there twice. Like what Termite said, get an insurance on the car that you just bought before picking it up. Then just bring the new insurance card and the 'borrowed' license plates from your other car (if you have one) when you pick up. Attach your plates to the car that you just bought then drive home. Then go to the DMV and register the new car. Just don't use it until you get the new license plates.

If you're not sure, ask your insurance agent if you're covered to drive the car even if it's not registered yet - and yes you will be covered. I did this before when I bought my old minivan from a private party seller.

If you get stopped by the police, what's the worst that will happen? You get a ticket? I'm fine with that rather than go through so much hassle.

If you don't have a car to borrow the license plates from, then you probably have to go to the dealership twice. Just make sure you get the title and all the keys for that car.

I m stiil go crayzy about price this guys was told me in phone 22 then when want there 22.450 now its 23k:S

I still search for better one..

I would definitely go to other dealership. This guy seems to just play with you.

There are Rs available, you just need maybe some more time to find the right one. I wouldn't go with the car smelling like ashtray, I did once and even I got most of the smell off (did also ozone treatment) it was still smelling especially in wet weather. Car smelling like ashtray, having 61k miles, worth less than 20k. (I paid 22k for my 39k miles loaded R500 from private party).

 

Yeah finally i decided to for 22.5 k usd called them go all the way from brook brgihton beach to fairfield connecticut ...Anddd just ın half hours we sold it... Awsomeeee dealer..:S:S((

For comparison we got a 2006 R350 [pano, nav, auto life gate, 4matic] with 60K miles in Oct 09 for $25,500.

The dealer is screwing with you. I had good luck on autotrader.com and cars.com

Finally bought 2006 for 21.5k all the from missouri.. But This mercedes delaers really make me crazy just i didnt had enough budget and i will use this car as a limo in new york city.

This delaer first he told me 22k final price as a cpo then when i go there all the way from new york i spend two days there ..
First day they said we can not except cash :s i go to bank with sales rep said teller please check all money and count please she did count put it in envolope and give it to sales person.. we come back to delaer manager didnt except he said put it to delaer bank account we did but he still make trouble and didnt except it.

Next day i call my bank in new york (because missiouri banks cant give you cashier check without account and if you open account after 3 days you can get cashier check) next day i solve it (its cost me rent a car hotel a day etc whatever) go to delaer with cashier check finally got my car.. gues what happend o sorry we said to you cpo but after 75000 miles mercedes dont except the warranty on cars if you already bought with warranty it will contuniue but if you transfer it 75k is limit.. and still they ask for 22k .. after a little fight they just offer 21.5 .

actually after remove the cpo 500 is nothing but i just tired to discuss with delaer and said ok give key.. they still owe me 500 usd..
But unbelivible they said we will send you Title after 14 days ..Whyyyyyy??? its company policy now i m waiting for title which means i cant work and mis 14 days already.

How mercedes is this they dont ceheck this delaer rutinly..

Or all the customer must be same just like go there with a good credit (mine is over 700 ) sign paper and do not cpmplain about title ...

It s really was bad experince for me they obviously lie..:S:S

Our dealer delivered our car to our house and he was shocked and a little miffed when we handed him a heavy envelope of cash. When we sold our old car private party we demanded cash. The buyer had to jump through hoops to come up with $10k cash. Everyone says "cash is king", but lately, nobody seems to know what to do when you transact a large sum of it.

 

You lucky alvis i just carry in my pocket 25k cash but finally put it to bank and convert to cashier check

 

Finally bought an 2006 r 350.. i m New York i bought car from Mercedes benz of progress point ST Louis..

This Mercedes dealers are not different from the regular dealer they lied to me at least 4 times..
So question is they remove my warranty only for 500 dolar and they said after 75k mile Mercedes Benz doesn’t except to transfer extended warranty to a new customer..: anyway i dont have to much time i dont why just get sick of dealers and bought this car finally drive it New York change 5 bulbs on the way of home..

When come home just park it to street didnt use it now battery signs on display and says visit workshop. unbelievable if its alternator its gona cost me at least 500 bucks what i can do against this guys a car with cpo just after first day alternator i dont know why i didn’t bought from auction:S:S

any advise about alternator or about sign or can fight about warranty i dont want bring back the car fight come back search again etc...:

can call Mercedes Benz about warranty this guys says we cant do anything just actually i have return this car..

 

Finally check the charge of alternator in another repair shop its good. Its must be something electronic ..
If i ll go to (this first time) mercedes-benz delaer will they charge me just clear the dsiplay message ( of course if there is no another problem)

 

If it's still under warranty, I don't think you should be charged for this. Call up your local MB service center to be sure.
