2009 command unit on a 2006 r-class

2009 command unit on a 2006 r-class
does anyone know if a 2009 oem ML/GL/R class command unit can be installed on a 2006 r-500. reason for this upgradeis to get built-in bluetooth functionality, backup camera and dvd video in motion.

You don't need a 2009 command to get Bluetooth. Previous commands work just fine as long as the car is pre-wired for a phone cradle. You just need the Bluetooth module. As far as Video in Motion, No command comes with this. You need an aftermarket solution for that.

I agree that the 2006 command is capable of bluetooth if the pre-wiring exists in the vehicle, mine doesnt. So i am looking at almost 1000 bucks to get the core kit, completer kit and installation.
Then i want to add backup camera, mine doesnt see to come enabled for that either. Also for the video while parked, my command doesnt have the capability but the 2009 commands have built in DVD/CD changer that can play video on the command display while parked. Adding all of this is quite some expense, instead i am thinking if the wiring will work with the 2009 command why not just upgrade the command unit and get all of these features.
