Smell when turning on AC

Smell when turning on AC
Need some advice on how to remove the smell coming from the vents when turning on the AC. Replaced the cabin filter but smell is still present.. Thanks

Its probably built-up condensation on the coil getting mildewy. Try turning off the AC a few minutes before you shut the car off. This will warm up the coil and hopefully stop water from condensing on it.

My dealer sells a small spray can of "Frigi-Fresh" to spray into the fresh air intake to eliminate that smell. It is an anti-bacterial that leaves a clean smell in the car for a few days then neutral. Works well for that exact smell.

6.95 a can....not bad. The instructions are to blast the A/C full cold full fan for several minutes and spray into the intake. Im sure Lysol or something along those lines will suffice as well.
