Mercedes R 320 CDI Sport 4Matic
R320 CDI torque converter faulty

2006 R320 CDI 84000 miles - I am experiencing a slight vibration when accelerating slowly after driving at constant for a second.

If I am hard on acceleration after a constant speed no problem.

Mercedes dealer has looked at my car and says that I need a new torque converter.

I am looking for some help or second opinion if anyone has experienced the same problem.

Thank you in advance

Sorry - tough demon to chase.

I have an 08 R320 with 67,000 miles and nothing vibrates.

Dumb questions - checked tires?, does it do it cold or warm?, what about changing the fluid?

R Class Torque Converter Vibration

I have the same problem. The dealer reprogramed the computer and it changed the vibration but it is not fixed. There was a service bulletin about this issue.
