Door lock alarm Beep
When arming the car / locking the doors with the smart key; they only indication the car is locked is the lights flashing. I am used to some sort of beep or honk. Is there any way it can be activated by me. It is a 2006 R350 in canada..

There will be a connector (meant for a phone cradle) in the centre console bin. It may have a cap or cover on it. Usually it came packaged with telematics as a "Communication Package". So if you see the telematics buttons, you are likely pre-wired.
I tested an MB bluetooth dongle on a 2007 R with telematics. It was a simple as removing the cover plate from the phone cradle connector in the console, and installing the bluetooth dongle instead of a cradle...

thanks,
do you think it is possible to see the plug for the bluetooth puck and still need that whole big telecomunications box? or if that plug is there all i would need would be the bluetooth puck?
i was told by mercedes that no 2006 r350's came pre wired for bluetooth. i am wondering if it was part of an options package the previous owner got and therefor wired. the dashboard has a keypad on it and all send recieve buttons and steering where wired for phone..

If you have the Bluetooth connector, the plug is on the rear wall inside your center console. If you have it, you just need the puck. Dealers sell them for $450 or so. You can find them on eBay for $200 or so. Installation is a piece of cake.
If you don't have the connector, it will be pretty expensive to have the system installed, around $900. There are some pretty cheap aftermarket Bluetooth speaker systems but they sound pretty bad compared to the MB product. You get what you pay for.
Hope this helps.
