expensive car

have anybody gotten the message "Add 1 qt of engine oil in next refueling" ? I own 2006 R500 with 52000 mile.
I went dealer for same reason and it has been only 3 months so I am afraid of the leakage of oil.
I will take the car to the dealer service in couple of days however, I probably will have to pay couple of hundred dollars anyways.

Is it leaking oil or it consumes/burns the oil? It shouldn't be too difficult to take a look and see if it is leaking oil. How about your driveway/garage floor?
I got the same message once about a year ago while on a long trip to S. Carolina from Pennsylvania so I stopped at a dealer and bought a quart of oil and added it. A few months later I had my scheduled oil change and have never had an issue again. My service advisor had told me it was normal, however it didn't happen twice in 3 months like in your case.

Is it really down a quart?

My car came with a software glitch that told me to keep checking my oil, even though I knew it wasn't low.

Dealership was told, they fixed the software, and it was fine after that.

I have a 2006 R500, I burn about a quart of oil about every few thousand miles, I had a leak down test done at the dealer when I first got the car, the dealer said consumption was normal. I have just learned to keep an extra quart of oil stored by the spare tire in the back well. The consumption doesn't really bother me. I say just track the consumption from this point on and if it gets so bad that it worries you, have the dealer perform a consumption test.
