Unhappy R-class not shutting off

I have a push button start on my R-500 and recently it sounds like it isn't shutting off. It is a 4-matic and I think it might be the suspension trying to go down but it is stuck. (I am sorry I sound pretty ignorant on the terms). Each time the information window towing option question appears (turn off). I just got my differential fixed at 57,000 miles and I am heartsick that something else major could be wrong. Of course, I didn't purchase the extended warranty. Any ideas?

The towing option question should come on when you shut-off the motor right after you press on the Keyless-Go button. Are you saying the motor is not always shutting off? Or it is and the air suspension is working for a few seconds after the shut-off?

It was the air suspension. I had to have a compressor on one of the wheels replaced. I may need a shock replaced, also. $900 sent on compressor. Possibly $750 on shock! Why didn't I purchase the extended warranty!!!!!! The repair shop says that the shocks commonly go and dealers charge around $1500. He gets them for $750.

Extended warranty would have cost you a lot more than $900. You're still ahead.
