R series'06 navigation unit
It may have been discussed before, but I could not find it. I am looking to upgrade my navigation to the latest one. I know there are '08 DVD around but I would love to get the latest one ('10 USA). Do I need to upgrade to a HD driven system or there is a DVD that will accommodates older systems? What other steps if any should be takes? Any suggestion is appreciated!

R350 - Navigation
My R350 has always had a bad DVD-driven unit and is not covered under warranty. They wanted 275$ to get a new DVD, just to run the antiquated system so I just suffer with no Nav.

Navigation DVD for 2006
shobbs@uchicago.edu $60 dollars. I wouldn't buy a new one 99.9% Highways and Roads don't change and are the same.

2011 GL450, '06 R500 traded, '08 ML350 sold
Word of caution: if your damaged DVD is the 08 version and you replace it with an older version like 06 it will NOT work as the system is not backwards compatible. You can of course load newer versions.
