R500 brake dust

R500 brake dust
Just purchased a 2007 CPO R500. My guess is the dealership didn't use a top of the line pad in getting the car to CPO specs because the brake dust is considerable. Does anyone have a pad they really like for performance and minimum dust?

The OEM pads produce considerable amounts of dust. I am told that some aftermarket pads produce less dust but squeak. Maybe someone knows of a product that doesn't do any of these two?

I was always told that the better your brakes are the more dust they produce. This was the case with my Carrera, C300, my SL500 & my R350. My 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD has the crappiest brakes I've ever experienced and the wheels never get dust on them, even after driving hard daily hauling a load and some 90-120 miles.
My dads new 2010 E350 wheels were never clean, he would have the car extensively detailed and 20 minutes later it looked like he drove the car 200 miles. He solved the problem by swapping his aluminum 18" wheels for Chrome 18" wheels and now they don't show the dust nearly as much.

I have my R500's OEM replaced with the semi-ceramic EBC green stuff 6000 brake pads and they had reduced the dust big time.
Either EBC Red 3000 or Green 6000 pads are good:

Btw, having a lot of brake dust doesn't mean poor brake pad quaility. It just means the pad material is very soft. Advantage is better friction with shorter stopping distance.

Thanks for the feedback! The chrome rims make the dust less noticeable, but having white paint tends to show the dust. Does anyone have any experience with Akebono pads?
