One doesn't set gap on platinum plugs.

The factory plugs come out of the box ready to install.

It's been this way for German cars for decades, even for conventional plugs. Bosch, of course.

"One doesn't"? Oof. A paucity of knowledge masquerading as expertise. The gap for M272, M273 is 0.032".

A good rule of thumb for online forums is "if you don't know, don't type anything."

Sure ... what I posted in 2010 is correct. This assumes you’re using plugs purchased from Mercedes, I.e. 004 159 18 03 26. Take them out of the box and install them. Feel free to check them if you must. And, if you’d like to know the gap check your owners manual.

YR7MPP33 is NOT the same as Y7MPP33 ... only the latter is correct
