Intermittent Static from CD player

Intermittent Static from CD player
I have a '06 R500. While I was driving the CD player was working fine. I stopped to get gas got back into the car and the music from the CD was very distorted, almost like losing a radio station frequency. Has anyone experienced anything like that? If so, what did you do? Thanks in advance.
