CPO warranty coverage
hi all,
just found out that the my front right boot is ripped and the MB dealer is saying it's not covered under CPO warranty for 2006 R500.
does anyone know that makes sense?
i recall having this covered before, so i was quite surprised that this isn't covered.
everyone's input would be appreciated.

Boot and joint are always a greay area, because it's often the cause of the damage that determines if it's covered or not.
Rubber boots are in many CPO plans considered a wear item. So if the boot goes due to external forces (air, water, rocks, etc), it's not covered.
But if the joint shears and rpis the boot, then the joint and boot would be replaced.
The best bet is to look at the CPO coverage contract. See what it says.

Thx bruce...I'm just surprised that it doesn't cover it, esp is it does cover it for the initial warranty.
Ironically, I think if the boot leaked and axle broke, i think BOTH items combined would be covered on CPO.
Anyone have opinion on whether $600 is too much money for that?
