2006 R-350 shift issue 45K miles
Just checked other posts on Tranny shifting problems. No good hits.
My wife just left the shop because the transmission was not shifting, the car revs to redline if you let it but doesn't change gears in full auto mode in either the Comfort or Sport setting. Techs found no ODB2 codes in the ECU/ computer and the during test drive didn't act up. The good is they didn't find any problems, so no charge.
I experience same when driving in heavy traffic one day last month when I took her car to work. The vehicle shifted at higher gear from a stop and seemed sluggish. No problem on way home and queries to her on last road trip with the rest of family had no isuses. Today's incident is the second for her in the last 2 weeks.
I checked fluid level and offered to see if any common conditions, heavy traffic, cold temperatures etc, but so far it seems very random.
Suggestions?
Cheers,
Charles

Transmission faults will not display with just a generic obd code reader, you need to scan it with a mercedes specific tool. There will be faults stored.
