Speakers quit working!

Our speakers in our 2007 R Class quit working yesterday. All of them at the same time. Does anyone have any idea as to what could be the problem? I'd like to fix it myself if its something simple.

Thanks,

e

Your *speakers* quit...all at the same time? I think that's called "my audio system quit".If,by chance, there's no evidence of electrical activity (display doesn't light up) then it could be a simple fuse replacement. If not perhaps a fuse in the amp has blown.

Everything else normal. Just no sound.

Take it to a local stereo installation place first. If isn’t not a fuse, and it probably is, your amp must be damaged.

Check your fuses, the amp is probably not getting power. The fuses are beside the spare tire in the rear cargo area, underneath the carpet. The radio is a different fuse vs the amp, independant. There is no chart listing which fuse, you have to probe them all with a test light or voltage meter.
