The two systems are similar, but the non-airmatic system is much simpler. The standard system is just for load leveling. The two use the same air springs. The leveling (standard) system is basically just level sensors, air springs, and a compressor with a regulator valve. I am having issues with mine and am on the fence right now about replacing the air springs vs changing it over to coils. The issue I have is the only parts that haven't been replaced on mine are the springs and compressor. The Arnot (sic) springs cost a little less than the coil spring replacement parts. They also carry a lifetime warranty and are easier to replace. That said, if the compressor dies, that is a part that costs over $1,000 from what I've looked at.
