Tailgate question
Hello all,
I am a new owner of a 2012 R350 for about 1.5 months now, and I have a question in regards to the tailgate angle limiter. The max opening is slightly too high as it comes in contact with my overhead garage door, but it seems the next lowest setting that I can get the door to save to is about almost 1 foot lower than the max setting.
Is it possible to save a setting in this dead-zone, as I have attempted multiple times as it beeps twice when I hold the close trunk button, not save, then reverts back to the max opening. But upon lowering it to the 1 foot lower setting, it will beep once and save that setting, but this setting is too low as I tend to have to watch my head.
Thanks in advance!

For the first few model years there were only two settings. For newer ones (I think 09 on) you can set the exact height that you want the trunk. Not exactly sure why the OP's isn't working the way he'd like it though.

Just a followup. After having it looked by service, there is nothing you can do to minimize the dead zone, as the equipment has no setting to hold the door open just under the max opening angle.
