What do some R Class vehicles have 18" or 19" wheels?
Good morning,
I am wondering why some R Class vehicles have 18" wheels and others have 19" wheels? Were there different models or different packages?

R500 + SLK55 AMG
I'm a newbie but from what I can tell from browsing the brochure for my 07 R, the V6 R series that year came with 17" wheels and 235/65/R17 tires. The R500 came with 18" 5 spoke wheels and 255/55/R18 tires. My R500 has the optional 10 spoke 18" wheels. Those 10 spoke 18" wheels were also optional on the V6 cars. Opting for the AMG appearance package added 19" wheels with 255/50/R19 tires. The R63 AMG came with one set of wheels and no option for anything else, 20" wheels and 265/45/R20 tires.

Yep Spud Racer is right.
On the newer 2011 and 2012 R Classes the AMG wheel package got you the 265/45/20s instead of the 19s. I also think the 17" wheel got axed in favor of 18s being standard but don't quote me on the last part.
In Europe the R Class also had optional 265/40/21 AMG wheels as you can see in my signature picture.
