flimsy switches - options to repair besides replacing?
Hello,
Have seen a few threads on issues with the driver's side master power window switch on our beloved W251s.
Anyway, a nagging issue I have is that currently two of the switches that control the rear windows are currently broken. The teeth or tangs that go into the main body of the switch have 'given up the ghost' and snapped.
Thankfully, the switches themselves still sit in place and with a little effort still function, but they are loose.
I currently don't have the issue that others have had where the lockout switch is stuck on, so I really don't feel like replacing the entire module over a couple of busted buttons.
Anyone here experience this issue with their power window switch? If so, how did you repair it or have most simply replaced it?
Cheers.

I had a couple window buttons broken on mine, so I took it out of the door to see if it could be fixed but its all one unit and and didn't look fixable to me. I had to order a new one online for $170. You have to take the door panel off to get the switch out. The panel is a real pain In the ***... and be very careful with the wire harness that controls the rear hatch those cost another $60.

I see switch clusters on ebay all the time. Like this (among others):

Close to what I did. I called a Mercedes place online to make sure I got the right one via VIN# because some have power rear quarter windows, folding mirrors, heated mirrors and some do not.
