Ford Vignale Estate Frankfurt auto show.
Just saw some photo's of the Ford Vignale Estate (Mondeo).
To me, it looked a lot like the R-class. Can't find any info on whether it would have 3 rows of seats (picture of the parcel shelf (image 6/7) looks like it is behind a third row), but apparently there will be a diesel AWD option. Good looking car. Of course, the Mondeo isn't sold in NA.
MB was rumoured to be showing the R-replacement at this show, but haven't seen or heard anything. One site said that the replacement would be the MB Viano, which is a mini-van.

Interesting. Had not heard of the Vaino yet. I'm particularly interested in the mobile office version of it. Thanks for sharing. For my family use, I think I will eventually replace my R350 with the Tesla X though.

The ford is pretty but doesn't seem to be the same size as the R. The MB artist drawing...ugh.. a minivan. Looks like a bigger B class. I don't want a minivan.. Seems like us R lovers are too small a market segment!
