FS: Mid City Smartkey Remote Starter with Drone Module
For Sale is a Mid City Engineering Smartkey Starter (SKS164 w/ KG20 Keyless Go option) for 2006-2012 GL, ML, and R Class vehicles. This was removed from my 2012 GL in working order. The previous owner had it installed at their Mercedes dealer but I didn't have a need for it.
This is a plug and play remote starter that is compatible with Keyless Go cars as well as non-Keyless Go. The module essentially piggy-backs into the ignition switch and you use the 'panic' button on the remote to start the car remotely.
Additionally, the system comes with a Drone DR-1000 Mobile control module which allows the use of a smartphone app to further extend the range of the starter. The app allows you to start the car from your phone, which requires a $49.99 per year fee through Drone Mobile.

Included are the modules, all wiring in good shape, and installation instructions. I estimate installation will take about 2 hours and doesn't require any special skills, just a bit of patience.
$600 for the Mid City Unit
$200 for the Drone Module
I'd prefer to sell them as a pair. This is a significant discount from the nearly $1500 price you would pay new.
