Unhappy 2006 R500 ! / ABS/ EPS or ESP malfunction

I have read multiple posts on this subject. My Innova 3160 can not even get a generic code.

1st attempt: Performed the simple steering sensor re-calibration by turning the steering wheel from lock to lock several times and this worked the first time.

2nd attempt: I have cleaned the pad wear sensors.

Now many posts say the culprit is the "stop switch". Here is it on the R500 and is this the next most likely cause?

I'd take it to the MB dealer to read the codes. the odbc code reaqders are more meant for engine code diagnosis. A good start STAR tester will give you the codes, but they can be a bit pricey to buy. You also need the diagnostic tree to determine what needs to be corrected.

If you are referring to the brake pad sensors, those log a console error when they are bad. It's on or off.

How many miles on the vehicle? Have you ever replaced the brake fluid as required?

This has happened after I repeatedly apply pressure to the brake pedal and then stops. It is intermittent and I do not have a good relationship with the local dealer.

After recalibrating the steering I took the vehicle out to a sandy curved road and tested the system and it worked perfectly in all measures. Hard braking in a curve and no problem, hard braking in sand and turning and no problem.

Then enroute to the house, the light comes on and goes off.
