Is it me or do the standard halogens put out crappy light? I don't want to get into HID conversions, so is there any halogen bulb out there that will make a difference and have a decent lifespan? I've heard the Sylvania SuperStar Ultras put out good light but last very little? Anyone have luck with using a different brand?

I have had good experience with these.

Last a long time... since we run our cars with headlamps on all the time.

Saw those two and then visited the Phillips website and the review rating is terrible compared to the amazon ones, but good to hear first hand feedback. I actually adjusted the headlights today they were very low IMO looks like that helped quite a bit but just did it in driveway will test on street shortly. Hopefully I didn't raise them too much that I will be blinding people.

Next up is trying to figure out how to access the side mirror puddle lights and map lights to install LED bulbs. Footwell, courtesy, vanity mirror, trunk and license plate all look straighforward. Searched forum and google but no dice yet.

Crystal visions are fairly decent and many of my customers use. Osram Nightbreakers are also fairly good quality halogen bulbs. Sylvania Silverstar ZXE are also good quality, but expensive.

Just remember there's a compromise... best performing might not be best looking and might not be best lasting. Brighter halogen bulbs burn out faster. Whiter halogen bulbs have less lumens.
