2011 COMAND MCSII Update vs 2012

2011 COMAND MCSII Update vs 2012
Okay so I have been doing some digging around here and I can’tseem to figure this thing out. My maps are definitely outdated, and so are thegraphical interfaces. In my 2010 S550, the maps are beautiful and the userinterface looks really nice with that analog looking dials and stuff.
I know that the 2012 COMAND disc seems to be the latestupdate to our systems however short of ordering it from the dealership (which Ireally do not feel like paying full price for) I can’t find any of these discs.I have found a 2011 update though that is relatively more reasonable price wise.
Does the one disc alone update the interface and the maps,or just the maps and would I be fine with running with the 2011 disc or is itworth getting the 2012 update?

Well just an update for anyone that is or was curious, there is a 2014 update available for our 2006-2007 R500s. I got one over the weekend, loaded it up and in less than an hour my system was ready to navigate.
However this only updated the maps and nothing else.
Aside from the dated graphics which I could deal with, I can't stand that there is no digital clock (at least I can't see one) and the fact that when I change the station on my steering wheel it scrolls through all the FM channels rather than scrolling though my presets! To make things worse, I am looking at possibly swapping out my command unit for a newer one (09 maybe) but from what I've been reading its a pain in the **** if you have the HK system.
Is there anyone that has successfully updated their commands?
