P2080 code on 2009 R320 Bluetec
Hi everyone.
I have a 2009 R320 Bluetec. It has thrown the P2080 code a couple times now. At first glance I thought it was the Exhaust Gas temp, but now I am reading threads that say it could be transmission.
My first suspicion is that it is a dirty EGR or bad sensor. It went into limp home mode the other day and a restart cleared. No code was set at that time.
First, is the P2080 what my code reader says, the Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor. The code lists show it as the Exhaust Gas.
Second, any thoughts on what it could be before I take it to the dealer?
Second, where is a good source to find Independent mechanics?'
Thanks

As best as I can see it mbworld seems the most visited and responded to. I am not sure how good the info is but there may be something.
