Paint the stock wheels?

Paint the stock wheels?
I'm sure somebody has done it. I have a black R320 and don't really like the stock wheels all that much, but can't bring myself to pay the huge dollars for something that looks better... So I figured maybe throw down some black paint, or maybe a dark metallic grey? Any feedback is welcomed...

Just remember.... you asked....
In one word NO...
First of all, I think the whole black wheel thing is played out... See, as soon as the OEM's start doing it then you know it isn't cool...
Lastly, the MOST uncool and cheesy rides I see are the ones where the owner desperately paints or dips plain old factory wheels to make it look like they "customized" their ride...
Again, you said Any Feedback....

I half way agree, although doing a professional job in a medium grey, somewhat darker than the silver, but much lighter than anything close to black I think could look good. I did a set on mine that way and I think it looks great personally, adds a little sportyness but not tacky

aftermarket black wheels is a different look than stockers just painted black though, that looks pretty good but stock wheels painted black maybe not as good I'd think, unless they're some really nice amg stock wheels or something

I did ask for all input, and thanks for your replies. I would agree that when done poorly, it looks bad... I'm also going to say that the second picture has an owner that thinks flat black on a MB looks good, sooooo...... Just sayin, I would never do that. I was thinking more toward a gunmetal grey, and it would be a much more involved than just a spray can....
