What a tool... Facebook is such a waste for stuff like this...
I use it to share pictures of my kids with family and friends that live far away... nothing more...

I find it interesting that nothing is posted for the R, yet the GL and ML models are up around 7000lbs. May want to check spring rates and such just to be safe... but considering they are all basically the same vehicle, it would be safe to assume the R can handle it...

Get that offer in writing. If you're jabbing something up, none of the load ratings on the existing consumer products applies. Looking at the OEM and the aftermarkets, the primary issue is torsion on the steel bumper, the hitch always hangs off the bottom resulting in constant twisting force. Braces inserted into the chassis like the OEM + a lateral support brace like the Curt has would resist those forces.

Hmm wow, I wasn't sure if that guy was joking or not...? Is he? I have little cousins who aren't yet teenagers who are more mature than that. Strange....
