Pre safe sensor fail?

Hi all. First time poster.
I have a 2007 R class 320. Had a few years now and its starting to have a few issues. The main issue came this last weekend.
When driving, the seat belt suddenly kept tightening for no reason. It really did pull real hard. I tried unbuckling and locking it back in, but every 20-30 seconds it would tighten. You can hear the whine of the motor pulling it tight. Its totally un-driveable.
It turns out all the belts are doing this, the back as well as far as I can tell. Plus the windows go up if they are down.
As best as I can tell, the pre-safe keeps getting activated. The car thinks I am about to crash.
Its off to the local merc place tomorrow, but its Christmas and I dont think I will see it again till the new year as I imagine its a faulty sensor and they will need to order the parts.
My question is does anyone know how to switch off pre safe while I await the part so I can drive the car over Christmas. I need it as got to chug family here and there over the holidays?
Secondly, does anyone have any idea what the issue may be? I am guessing its a fault with pre safe, but no idea really. The garage had never heard of this and neither had my local Merc dealer tech guy?
Thanks for your time guys.

I haven't heard of that happening before. There might be a fuse you can pull.

You're user manual will show the location of the fuse boxes - probably 3 of them in total. There should also be a map of the fuses inside the fuse boxes.
