Led parking lights

Well I may not need to replace the bulb, but got the warning after a car wash verified the light was out. Today I stopped at Walmart to get stuff and purchased 2leds for the parking light. I could not find a 2825 like it was listed but the 194 said it would work. I could have done the standard one but figured I like the LEDs better for longevity.

Then it occurred to me that Mercedes knew the light was out and maybe it would not like the LEDs for some reason. I see now people selling error free LEDs for certain things. So I wonder if I will have issues. I apologize in advance if this is an open topic somewhere but I am on my phone.

Yes, you can't just use generic LEDs, you need canbus LEDs.

I thank you. I will see what I bought and if it is canbus. Of course the warning light went off. Not sure if the light works now but warning is gone. If so I will take my time at this point and get whats right.

Those are very basic units with basically just a resistor and uses outdated 5050 SMDs. I will say that our units pack a lot more in capability including constant current IC chip and the new V5.1 has heat sensors that will cut to ambient mode when temps get high due to current surges in an effort to preserve the unit longevity. Our V5.1 uses Samsung SMDs and we're working on an alternative batch that uses latest CREE XBD chips as well.

Is there an easy cross reference that shows what fits the R-class? I've looked at several sites and the information is not clear or contradictory. I need to replace a few lights and want to go all LED.

For AZN Optics, it would be nice to have a list of what fits what from your products.
Thanks

I have not been able to find a front dome light LED that fits yet. They are all too wide. No part of the bulb can be wider than the base. They don't have to be CANbus but they do have to be dimmable.

I bought these bulbs on amazon and they ended up working out great for dome light. They are very bright! I was also looking for a bulb that would fit...And yes, they were a little too wide and a little too long initially, but that was easily corrected. If you're at all handy... First I removed the done light fixture, then using a drill I reamed out the bulb holes. Any size drill bit will do, you just put it in the bulb socket and circulate it around the outer perimeter to remove about 1-2mm worth of material. Check that bulbs fit.

When I inserted the bulb, I could tell that the top led was almost flush with the surface of the Dome cover. So I took a pair of wire cutters and snipped off about half of the contract plate at bottom part of the bulb. This has no effect on how the bulb functions. Perect fit!

These bulbs are 240 lumens which are much bright than most that I have seen which are about 80 lumens. And they are also 'inexpensive' at $1.30/bulb, but a high quality product. These also work well as parking lights, without modification.

I've got some that size already that are dimmable. I was looking for something that doesn't require modification; not that I'm entirely averse to it.

I just got some new LEDs in yesterday that I'm going to try out.

R320 license plate lights not working

I bought LED lights for my 2009 R320 and just installed the parking lights and license plate lights. One of the parking lights is not working but it does. It have power so that's not the light. I just need to troubleshoot. The one that works looks great.

I installed the the license plate lights too. They work but the dash still says they are out. Any thoughts?
