Intermittent door unlock failure

My 2006 R500 has ~110k miles. Issue started out infrequently and may be happening more frequently though it is tough to be certain. Remote always locks all 5 doors fine. Sometimes the remote (or button in car) will not unlock the passenger side second row door and the rear hatch. Seems to happen to both doors at the same time. Manual unlock from inside has so far worked fine for both. I suspect the actuators since this affects both the remote unlock and the interior button unlock. Any other components I should be suspicious of?

Most likely this is unrelated but my only other issue with the vehicle is that something is drawing down the battery. If doing lots of short trips in the vehicle and letting it sit for days on end without driving, it occasionally requires a jumpstart. Haven't dug into this yet, only mentioning in case it is a clue about the door issue.

Thanks for any input.

I suspect the actuators since this affects both the remote unlock and the interior button unlock.-----I think you have diagnosed the problem correctly.

Regarding the drain, you either do the fuse unplug\plug\meter grunt work or find someone who has SDscan function in DAS Xentry who in ten minutes find the drain!!

Thank you for the reply.

The actuators look simple enough to replace. Might as well try one and see if the problem resolves.

I am new to MB. Is there a good way to find shops or enthusiasts with DAS Xentry? It looks a bit more expensive than I can justify buying outright at this point.

Simply call around to the so called euroimport car repair shops---one of them must have diagnostics that can read all control modules----however always repeat always require a copy of the full quick test before starting any repair work!!
