Steering Rack replacement
So, I was under my R320 today, and sure enough the steering rack is leaking in the typical fashion.

Question is: what has everyone else done? Replace with a rebuilt? Where did you get it and how much?

I just sent an inquiry off to Cardone. Hopefully, I'll hear back soon.

I haven't done anything about it yet. I haven't had any time.

I may just drop it off at my indy and let him take care of it.

When i got rid of my 2008 R320 a year ago (before I picked up the luggage cover from you) the buyer's inspection revealed a steering rack leak too. about $2500 to fix.
My understanding is that the rack cannot be rebuilt easily.

It's leaking from the knuckle, so it appears to be the common seal leak. $2500 seams about right for parts and labour.
