Egr bypass?

Is there a way to disable the egr without making the car freak out? Without purchasing a tune? Im already in the process of getting the GD tune, just want to be rid of the evil egr asap!

There is another thread on this. The consensus is that it may cause all sorts of other problems because EGR does regulate/reduce combustion temperatures. Also keep in mind that EGR is bypassed anyway on full throttle.
