Differential oil change
Was at the dealer for my 2012 bluetech seasonal maintenance.
Asked about oil change in the front/rear differentials.
They first told me it will be $350 (CAD) each end, then when I asked if this is in the maintenance schedule, the guy consulted techies and then said 'not needed'.
My previous R350 started to be noisy at the front before I sold it and it wasn't bearing. It had only 110K km then.
Anyone has good info on this maintenance?

Follow the guidance contained in your Operator's Manual.
If your not comfortable with that, then have the lube changed. For sure won't hurt anything but may make you sleep better.

Don't go by manufacturer's interval. They are way too long. Use pure synthetic lubricants like BG Products and do it at 60 k intervals. Have an independent garage do it and it will be way cheaper. We do this service day in and out and it is the best insurance in not having to replace any worn parts.
