Took it to the shop due to all kinds of shudder going on... he's saying it's something to do with overdrive and the torque converter. Really can't afford the $5k+ to completely rebuild the trans, so any ideas to check out? I seem to remember the tc and the front pump(?) being problem children for this trans? Help me out guys! Thanks in advance!

Yea I agree with you, you are smarter than the mechanic, change the fluid and continue to drive the car until it stops shifting all together and leave it on the side of the road!
