Brakes failed
Hi,
My wife was backing out the R350 after having driven it for a while in the rain yesterday, and the brakes failed (went down to the floor and car wasnt stopping). She backed into a neighbors car but she is okay thankfully. There was no damage to either car since the car was going pretty slowly. We left the car where this all happened (aunts house). Does anyone know what could have gone wrong? The brake light is not on so there was no warning. I wasn't around, but my father in law said that it was fine after when they moved it back into the driveway.
Thank you.

Holloween? Car dressed up as an Audi?
Brakes are typically rock solid reliable. As you know there are double circuits and the brakes work without vacuum boost assist. So unless there is a leak and loss of fluid in both circuits it is very odd that brakes will fail.
And now they are working again? 2 possibilities.. Some sort of sudden loss of vacuum that made it feel like there was no boost assist, Or as in the famous Audi case, human error?
