Plugs??? Should be easy!!
Just pulled a plug from my 2011 R350 and the plug says Y7MPP33
RM European and other parts says YR7MPP33
Puzzled, seems it is a resistor plug while OEM is non resistor. Yes I know that means the connection from the individual coil is probably resistive... etc.
Even the Bosch site has no reference for the Y7MPP33 and says YR7MPP33

MBWorld Fanatic!
Mercedes dealer has the correct nonresistor plug.
Just remember that Bosch USA might as well be a completely different company from Bosch Germany and has indeed shown an indecipherable tendency to want to sell resistor plugs here. Those would be the wrong plug. The expectation that a USA parts operation can provide correct parts for Mercedes is dubious at best.
FWIW you can search the correct part number on eBay and you may find some. I did ... guy sold his car before he got the plugs changed. Correct plugs in Mercedes boxes, Mercedes star on the plugs. Half price. V8

thanks for this info.
but It is moot... and too late for me. at 20Kv spark voltage and miliamp currents, a 5k ohm resistance will provide a few dozen volts drop. irrelevant.
The R plugs are made in Germany anyway. Not sure where you get your conclusion about German vs US Bosch

Hi there,
Would someone please let me know what is a good, or the best, option for V belt makes, OEM vs after market. I have 2 MLs, 350 and 500.
Thanks
