Your owners manual is your friend! Please Read it!
As a frequent contributor I sometimes get annoyed when the questions being asked are clearly covered by your owners manual.
Please do make an effort to do some research first by at least leaving thru it, or doing a search.
If you do not have one because you purchased your car used, you can download them here:

if you live outside the US there is probably a more local MB Site you can get them from . There are only a very few variants of the R class. The US manuals should cover 99% of the things you need regardless of some small country differences.
