2008 r350 gas just popped cel p0022, now what?
We have about 160k, the car has been a gem. No issues, other then brakes, oil, bulbs and a pully/belt explosion. Today my wife spotted the cel, although it went off before I got it to advance auto, i was able to get the p0022 cam 2 something or other. I can pull up the specifics, but I can say we have recently have had to put oil in a couple of times. 1 quart over 5-7k I thought was par for the course.
So i have seen the tsb, i have read in many mb forums for various models that have the m272, a wide variety of things that get replaced with some success. Fuel pumps, solenoids, harnesses, and what not.
my question is, what should I look for? How do i determine if i need to fix or replace basically every part on a car that that has 160k, because i am sure an argument can be made for the need for each.

gonna look it over tonight. I am gonna start with it at face valve. looking online it looks like a few solenoids ( either 2 or 4) and 2 magnets or 4 and some o rings. If someone has part numbers for me to help me not get the wrong ones I would appreciate it.

camshaft magnet/adjuster-272 051 01 77 (about $30) the oring will be on the new one change the sensor too 272 905 00 43 ($15) oring will be on this also
