R350 CDI 4MATIC
No sound from center dash speaker

Bought a second-hand R350 2010 model from Germany and took it to Finland.

I was wondering that the car audio balance is not quite right. It sounds too much on the left when sitting on driver’s seat. Then I noticed that there’s a speaker on the dashboard in front center. It’s completely silent. Perhaps that causes the audio balance be off center.

I’d like to remove the dash speaker grille and check the speaker but the grille doesn’t come out by prying it from above. Searched for R350 dash speaker grilles and there are few for sale at eBay. The grille seems to have four strong metal clips on the straight side.

I’m not quite sure if i should just use more force prying it. Wouldn’t like to damage the dash or the grille.

Has anybody else figured how to remove the grille?
