Hello all, I am looking for the location of my engine ECU please on a 06' R500 I have to send it in for a tune to Tony at RaceIQ. He just did a tune for my CLS55... Very impressed! I have WIS I can look on but I am not home to use it for another day. Thank you!
Looking on WIS this is the only the l thing I came up with. WIS calls it the MSM/ECU fuel control module. It's under the passenger side footrest. I copied the part number for the ECU from from EPC so I can make sure I have the correct module.
It's under the hood and is the grey thing in the middle under the engine cover.
Sometimes it pops throigh the engine cover.

I believe you're thinking of the V6 in the R350 models that has the ECU right in middle of engine cover. I have the M113 V8. I have had the engine cover of to replace the air filters and did not see the ECU on the middle of the engine. Thanks
Alright, so confirmed...the ECU is located underneath or behind the passenger side footwell you have to pull the carpet back after removing a couple right hand trim pieces and then remove the black styrofoam cover over top of the ECU. the part number on the ECU matches that of the part number listed in WIS/EPC. ECU 5 plug connectors
