Hi, everyone,

I have had the 2007 R320 CDi for 12 years now and it been great. This time last year I went to turn the car on and a warning message came up saying, "drive to the workshop without changing gears" when that popped up I just turned the car off and on again and it went away, I have heard other people mention this warning message. Since then everything has been fine with the transmission until a couple of months ago I put my foot down a bit and when around it shifted into 3rd gear the car sort of stopped accelerating and lagged then kept on going since then nothing happened again until yesterday it happened again. Also, yesterday when I again was accelerating hard I was around up to 60kph and the car sort of stuttered and shook a bit and then continued. When this happened it wasn't changing gears it seems that it was a problem with the engine, not the transmission. Does anyone know why the weird shifting and the stuttering occurred? and should I take in the car to the merc dealer as soon as possible?

Thanks
