hey can you share any tips on the process you had to go through to modify the wiring for headlights? I’m having my trusted body shop swap a r350 facelift front end onto my slightly crashed r320 CDI. They both have xenon. Worst case scenario I should be able to take the connectors off the facelifted one and graft them onto the old wiring on the r320, right? Or is there more involved ?

On the 2011+ models, the headlight power and active curve were combined into one plug and the ballast and active curve modules look to be combined into one unit as well.

Your best bet is to take apart the headlights, trace the internal wiring, and match them up the best you can. This roadblock is partially why I didn't go with the facelift setup when my car got into a front-end accident. That and sourcing the correct bumper was much more difficult and expensive.
currently facing this exact issue - I wonder if the harness can be swapped with the new car

Hi, It's been about 5 years but I'll try to remember. I didn't have to do any grafting of the harness. I think what I did is when I was gathering all the parts, I made sure to also remove all the wiring from the donor car. I know that in the original design, the marker lamps and the turn signal lamps are in the bumper cover, but in the facelift design, the marker lamps and turn signals are part of the headlampt assembly. I don't recall for sure if I just had to swap the wiring harnesses or if I had to splice into the headlamp wiring connectors. Either way should be straight forward, just be sure to get the wiring harnesses from both the new bumper cover and the headlamps. Since I didn't care for the US spec headlamps, I was able to find and purchase new Euro spec headlamps from an international eBay site and had them shipped here to the US. Good luck.

If you can get an uncut harness from a donor car that might work. Ideally you would pull it from the car yourself so that you can trace it back to what modules the harness connects to and where those modules are. My guess is that those modules are still the same, just a modified harness for the new headlamps. If the modules aren't the same, you can potentially swap out the modules but that may require coding for VIN matching.

It will be a lot of work to pull out the harness while keeping it intact though. There's a good chance that the harnesses go through the firewall and connect to the front SAM.

If you could help me in this, I would be very grateful.
Thank you
did you ever figure out the wiring for this ?

I actually got the new xenon working fine. Just have to splice the wires, some of the colours are different, I will make a chart and post here for future conversions if anybody needs
