Dashboard message on even after fixing tail-lamp

Hi all, I have a MB-R350 2007 and I had the rear tail lamp/ brake lamp blow out.

I read online and bought this MB repair kit:

Repair Device : Amazon

And after marking all the connections I am still getting the message in the dashboard. Tried all things like restarting the car, removing keys etc.

Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Why not just replace the bulb?

The bulb is working fine.

But I am curious to know more about the image you posted? Is this a new "device" that can be used alternatively?

Can you please provide some more details?

Can you please provide some more details?

That brake light is a PITA to change. You have to remove the lamp assembly and really work hard to replace the bulb. Its not easy unless you have some magic fingers. What light did you test/replace? How do you know its the harness? What exactly did you change?

However it may not be the one in your tail lights. There was a change around facelift time. AllDataDIY for my 2011 shows a different bulb than the one posted above.
