Hi,
my newly acquired R had the battery run empty and now I can’t get it out of the immobilized mode! I can’t move it or do anything. Not even sure how I can get it to the dealer. Is there some kind of override that could get it moving?

I didn’t (yet) it seems to be holding a charge with decent numbers.

It won’t crank, can’t get it out of Park.

Could be a bad key, bad EIS, or many other things. You'll need to have it properly diagnosed. A tow truck with wheel dollies will be able to tow it. DO NOT let them drag it onto a flatbed with the wheels locked because they'll have to shake it back off, and I've seen that damage the ISM gears on the transmission.

Was able to get it to the dealer using a specially “hub” equipped tow. They started suspecting water intrusion due to a non-communicative central command system. Sure enough when they tore out the seat and carpeting there was water down there. They disabled the central command system and were able to start the car. A new central gateway module is about $380 at the dealer. Not the best start to my ownership but feel hopeful that it will be all sorted now.
