2006 r350 non power liftgate - the inside emergency release is broken.. it will not pull the cable to open the hatch.... will this cause the liftgate to not power close shut??? is there some switch in there that needs the emergency cable in a certain position for the motor to pull the liftgate shut?? i have tried 3 motors with all the same issue.. they wont pull the liftgate shut.. is this all due to the emergency cable not working or being in the correct spot???
please help.. when i pull the handle it does nothing... looks as if the white part is no longer attached to the black part...
