Seems rusted brake lines happen, Under the cowling the 2 lines are held in by plastic clamps along with the fuel lines
These seem to be weak spots for rusting.
Any auto parts store has 3/16 inch line and repair fittings.
Each coupling is 5/8 in long so cut the replacement 5/8 inch shorter on each end.
