Prop shafts torque spec

Hi to everyone,
Would like to know if anyone could help me with finding the torque spec (preferably in N/m) for the propeller shaft of a w251 4matic, the bolts should all be M10x45.
Picture attached components: *15/20/10
Thanks in advance
Francis

As best I can figure, as AllDataDIY only has procedures to drop the complete prop shaft from the front transfer case to the differential.

your bolts. # 15. is 40Nm + 90deg New bolt required. Note discrepancy in spec BA41.10-P-1001-01G between 2 pages.
Your bolts # 20 is 64Nm see BA41.10-P-1005-01G

May I ask what you are doing?
Note the tightening procedure

I'm dropping the front prop shaft as between 1300/1400 and 2100 rpms there's a sort of jerking under very light throttle, I checked the shaft and noticed that it gets stuck every couple revolutions. Now I have a shop that does shaft regeneration, I'll see if the problem goes away. Will upload a video later when I'll have the shaft out of the car.

As for the torque spec, correct me if I'm wrong, but for the front/short shaft this seems like the correct tightening setting

Relatively to my first image (20) should be BA41.10-P-1003-01G and (15) should be BA41.10-P-1004-01G, bolts are the same so should have same spec (this is an assumption not a statement)

Nevertheless thank you very much, I'll try to keep this thread updated and hopefully I'll resolve the issue.
Regards
Francis

dont confuse the "Front" shaft, which is the prop shaft that goes from the transfer case to the front differential with the front part of the rear prop shaft!

I try my best! May I suggest getting a subscription to some shop manual service. its a great investment over many years.

Note that there are bulletins about prop shaft/ drive train vibrations. How the system gets stressed. and you need to releave stress by loosening and tightening bolts, plus the shaft also has to meet specific angles.

I think that I didn't explain myself correctly, the shaft I'm talking about is exactly the one in the front, connecting the transfer case to the front differential. I have no intention (for now&#128560 to drop the "rear" one.

Also I'll invest in one of those manuals.

Ah. Now I understand! Sometimes the pics in AllDataDIY are not clear! Now it makes sense! Your #10 IS the front prop shaft. I though it was the front section of the rear prop shaft. Sorry, and I didnt have a single drop to drink yesterday!

Little update on the topic, as one of the bearings, was causing a sort od jerk under acceleration I got it replaced and balanced by a specialized shop. After a 1800km trip from Poland a very similar problem started occurring again, the cause of it? The other bearing. Now it doesn't make sense to replace it as a new shaft form FCP costs 450$ and the bearing+balancing 150$, the new ones comes also with new bolts...

I will update the topic as soon I get the parts delivered to Italy and installed.
