Talking Error Code P2005 -001 Help R500 M113

Hi, I have a code P2005-001 which i have found out to be either the MAF sensor or the intake manifold flaps. Has anybody had this issue and can shed some light on it and what the error code is. Does the 2006 R500 M113 engine have the plastic manifold flap actuator? Or should I replace the MAF sensor?

Thanks for any help on the matter

The common issue with this code is that the intake manifold gums up with oil that makes its way into the intake via the PCV system. That causes the intake flaps to become sticky, putting pressure on the actuator arms and then something breaks as thw flaps and arms are made of plastic. Its usually the arms. Have a look at the W163 forum as well as the W211 forum which used the same engine and you'll find similar experiences there hopefully with better answers than this one. Kits are avilable to fix this as well as complete intake assemblies. But you also need to look at the PCV system which is allowing oil as well as gases into the intake system. No point in replacing the intake without fixing the source of the problem.
