checking PS fluid level

Do both. the gap between max and minimum is very small. Power Steering fluid does not expand so much that you will overfill it due to heat expansion. Fill it cold to the minimum, turn the wheel from lock to lock a few times. Recheck it and top up if required to min level. Then go for a drive and heat it up. Recheck and top up if required to full when hot. Add a little at a time. The reservoir doesn't hold that much.

I appreciate your feedback. I find it odd that MB has min/max fluid levels for cold/hot that are so close. Plus, its not easy to read the mini-dipstick since the fill marks are so close to each other.
My question is should I check the fluid level with the motor running or not? I've seen it done both ways on youtube videos.
