Not Starting after recharged battery
My 2007 R320 L cdi se a W251 recently wouldnt start after a cold snap. I have recently replaced the battery a few months ago ( Exide 95Ah AGM) but after many attempts by both myseelf and the breakdown service, no response to starting attempts.
Removed battery, now fully charged and replaced. Red warning on dash reads " drive car to workshop without changing gear". I wish I could !! Still no response from starter , not even one turn,
Suggestions please?

" drive car to workshop without changing gear" means that the ISM ( Intelligent Shift Module) or the TCU ( Transmission Control Module) is defective or has no voltage or communication.
Without knowing the state of Gearbox - P, N or D - the engine cannot start.
The Front SAM and Drivetrain CAN is very near to the battery, so try to check if there is wires or connectors misplaced in the battery compartment.
